Waiting for Redemption

This song is an honest meditation on the search for meaning and freedom in a complicated world. “Waiting for Redemption” explores the fears, regrets, and illusions that can hold us back, as well as the universal longing for healing and transformation. It’s about stepping back to reflect, to reconnect with what’s true, and to remember that no matter where we are or who we are, we’re all on a journey—waiting and hoping for redemption, every day and every night.

Lyrics

When I think I become aware of the fears that have enslaved me
Images that stole my years and the lies that still betray me
I need to get away to introspect and to understand
How in this complicated world I can be a simple man

Waiting for redemption every day and every night
Everywhere I turn to the wrong or to the right
Waiting for redemption rich or poor weak or strong
Everywhere I go no matter who I know I’m waiting for redemption

The more I learn I expand my world of handling situations
Nothing is as it seems and there are always variations
I need to get away to catch my breath and to get a grip
On all the concepts underlying this extraordinary trip

Waiting for redemption every day and every night
Everywhere I turn to the wrong or to the right
Waiting for redemption rich or poor weak or strong
Everywhere I go no matter who I know I’m waiting for redemption

When I search in that silent place of suffering
There’s a passage to a timeless place of truth
I need to get away to reaffirm the things I know
Reacquaint my intellect with the journey of my soul

Waiting for redemption every day and every night
Everywhere I turn to the wrong or to the right
Waiting for redemption rich or poor weak or strong
Everywhere I go no matter who I know I’m waiting for redemption
Everywhere I go no matter who I know I’m waiting for redemption

Waiting for redemption every day and every night
Everywhere I turn to the wrong or to the right
Waiting for redemption rich or poor weak or strong
Everywhere I go no matter who I know I’m waiting for redemption
